Documentaries of comedians currently fill network and streaming lineups: Mel Brooks, Gilbert Gottfried, Andy Kauffman, Katt Williams. Gilda Radner, Garry Shandling, Dick Gregory, Peewee Herman, Don Rickles, Joan Rivers, Gene Wilder, Phyllis Diller, Bob Newhart, et al.

But one story remains untold.

Before Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump or Darrell Hammond as Sean Connery on SNL

…  before Jeff Ross or Nikki Glaser killed on the Comedy Central Roasts

… there was RICH LITTLE.

* This internal sizzle is only a representation of who our subject is, not the stylizing of cinematography.

“LASTING IMPRESSION: The Rich Little Documentary”.

(90 min film or 8 episode series)

Actors, comics, legends, insiders, presidential families, and the star impressionists of today, analyzing industry & stardom then vs. now, and why Rich Little transcended show business’s variety act status to become an international A-Lister.

No one in the variety act genre has matched his accomplishments then or since:

  • Record deals, HBO specials, films and a prime time television show
  • Performed for Royalty as well as every U.S. President since JFK on both sides of the aisle.
  • Behind the scenes stories in the oval office and being sneaked into studios to record post-production voices of stars who wouldn’t finish jobs.
  • Iconic impressions launched parallel careers in film, TV, and theatre
  • THE guest star with over 300 IMDb credits including 84 appearances on the Tonight Show and guest hosting, and 98 appearances on Hollywood Squares.
  • Emmy Award, Rose d’Or Winner, Comedy Star of the Year, Casino Legends Walk of Fame, Palm Springs Walk of Stars, and the only impressionist with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

BUT … this is not just a nostalgia documentary.

We will not only talk to the impressionists, but those that have been impersonated, experiencing that satire in the comedy zeitgest of the country and the world.

We will talk to the social media star impressionists of today, the misconceptions of the work, treatment, opportunities within the industry, and interviews with those being impersonated.

Four wives, two children, and at 87, we’ll dive into Rich Little’s personal reflection of life choices between work and family, as well as what it is like without peers that truly understand a shared experience as the last person remaining.

If you’re a fan of comedy, Hollywood, Las Vegas, Broadway, behind the scenes fun, scandals, The Royals, the presidents, youth/age, marriage/divorce, kids, and going viral …  join us in producing the Golden Age of Comedy’s FINAL STORY.
