By age sixteen, I wanted to be in the business so badly that while in a talk show studio audience, I sneaked away, gave myself an unauthorized tour of the NBC station, and fell into my first television internship. At seventeen, the only applicant who ventured through the biggest blizzard of the decade for the interview, I landed a job at CBS Radio. It was there that I met a talk show guest and international stage producer who hired me to travel the world, mounting stage spectaculars.
In recent years, Modern Luxury Magazine was nice enough to call me, “The Swiss Army knife of entertainment.” ... My career history from performer to writer, director to producer, inspired Post Hill Publishing’s offer for me to write “Breaking Out of Show Business.” Grateful of its critical and industry acclaim, it is now in its second reprint and used by the University of Chicago as a syllabus source.
